Indigo people are typically hypersensitive, anti-authoritarian, demonstrate psychic abilities, have a strong connectedness to nature, animals and children (in other words the uncorrupted and helpless), and often find themselves at odds with the predominant popular culture of aggression, cynicism, rigidity, and bullying.
The Indigo Angels Oracle has been designed to support Indigo people, and the people who are involved with them. It works closely with the Archangels Metatron and Michael, though all Angels work with Indigo people. The Indigo Angels Oracle functions via the Law of Attraction the question that you hold in your heart will attract the answer through the cards.
This is a beautifully illustrated 44 card Oracle. It has neither Arcana nor suits, the cards are not numbered, and they do not follow any set order. Each card has only a title given at the bottom of the image, inside a pale pink box. The Indigo Angels Oracle features titles such as Acceptance, Divine Timing, You Are Safe, Patience, Look Through the Situation and so forth. Basically these are messages of self acceptance, remaining calm and centred in challenging situations, and maintaining a positive outlook on life.
The cards measure 127 x 88 mm this makes them a little broader the most standard tarot decks, and perhaps a little smaller than many oracle decks. The card stock, as with all Doreen Virtue decks is of an excellent standard thin but not flimsy, flexible, with a polished and smooth sheen. The edges of the cards are gilt glittering silver which complements the Indigo coloured frame around each image, and invokes an impression of starry night skies. The print quality is excellent, the images are crisp, clean and clear with no blurring or misprints.
The artist, Carol Heyer, has illustrated this deck with a deft hand. Since all 44 cards feature angels it would be foolish to claim that the artwork is *realistic* however her palette is naturalistic, and the images are rendered in smooth, restful colours.
Each illustration is framed by a thin pale pink line, and as noted before a slender peacock-coloured border.
The design on the back of the cards elegant calligraphy scroll work can be reversed; however these cards are not designed with reversed meanings in mind. The cards and guidebook come packaged in a solid cardboard box, with lift off lid. The box is printed with images from the Indigo Angel Oracle cards as well as a small summary of the decks purpose. This compact set can easily be slipped into a handbag or backpack, and it is sturdy enough to withstand the rigours of travel.
The guidebook is a slim volume of only 55 pages length. The Introduction is quite brief and basically outlines the most common attributes of Indigo people. There are instructions for clearing, activating, and using the cards. Two prayers, one to Metatron, the other to archangels Michael and Metatron are included. No layouts are given, but fundamental instructions for what amounts to a 3-card draw are included. Each card has one page of information this includes a small black-and-white reproduction of the card. The advice given is positive in outlook, and and mostly spiritual in nature frequently advising prayer and trust in one's angels as the best solution to ones enquiry or problem.
If you identify as an Indigo person or you are closely involved as a parent, teacher, spouse, or friend, with an Indigo person you may find this deck to be helpful. Even if you are Indigo-free you may find this attractive deck to be a restful meditation. In a world that is increasingly busy, demanding, and frequently negative in outlook, Doreen Virtue consistently creates oracle decks that uplift, support, and advocate for the good in us all. If you find this deck attracts you why not try it?
