The Keepers of the Light Oracle Cards has been created to help the Seeker receive the guidance of The Keepers of the Light, who are essentially a group of enlightened beings whose purpose is to guide humanity and help us connect with our higher selves. Among this group are ascended masters, archangels, gods and goddesses from myths, legends, and spiritual texts from around the world. While some of these beings have always existed as higher powers others were once human, but their knowledge and wisdom has allowed them to transcend death and return to us as teachers.

Among the angels featured in this deck are Michael, Faith, Hope, and Charity, gods and goddesses such as Krishna, Isis, Lord Ganesh, Odin, Cernunnos, and ascended masters such as St Germaine, Paul the Venetian, White Eagle, Djwal Khul and others. Also featured in this deck are a series of Twin Flames – two souls who typify a divine complementary connection which transcends the mortal realm and continues on through many spiritual dimensions. Isis and Horus, Kali and Shiva, Lady Portia and St Germaine, Radha and Krishna are but a few of the twin flames that feature in this deck.

The Keepers of the Light Oracle Cards have been co-created by Kyle Gray, an author whose recent titles include Raising Your Vibration, The Wings of Forgiveness, Angels, Angel Prayers, and the Angel Prayers Oracle Cards. Lily Moses is the visionary artist behind the stunning imagery of these cards.

The Keepers of the Light Oracle features of 45 cards. The cards measure 90 x 127 mm – which makes them a fairly standard size deck for Oracle cards, a little broader than most regular tarot decks, but essentially the same in length.

The card stock is of very high quality, it is sturdy yet flexible, quite thin but not flimsy. The cards have a smooth and glossy finish which makes them exceptionally easy to handle and shuffle. The deck is gilt edged, the gilding is high quality and does not flake off or tarnish when handled.

The print quality is outstanding – the images on the cards feature a broad and bright palette of subtle shading and fine detail which is captured perfectly. There are no misprints, no blurred edges and no colour bleeds.

Each card features an image which takes up two thirds of the card, the space beneath the image is a broad band of colour featuring the title of a Light Keeper, as well as a key descriptor, and a sentence or two which summarises the essence of the card’s meaning. The cards have no borders to the images. The design on the back of the cards features a vesica piscis with twin Sri Yantras and interlocking winged circles on a mustard yellow background. While this is a reversible image the cards are not a tarot deck, and not intended to be read with significant reversed positions.

The artwork is quite beautiful, it is of a popular/commercial type imagery yet it is in no way cheap or tacky, instead it has a delicate, ethereal style. Each Light Keeper is clearly defined in appropriate spiritual colours with a gorgeous and often finely detailed background. There is a certain luminous quality to this artwork which perfectly delineates the strong spiritual presence of the Light Keepers, without resorting to cheesy reification and other new age visual effects.

The cards and guidebook come packaged in a small yet solid cardboard box with a lift-off lid. This box is sturdy enough to withstand the rigours of travel, and small enough to slip into a handbag or backpack.

The 120 page guidebook by Kyle Gray gives a comprehensive insight into the cards. The Introduction simply outlines the purpose of the cards. This is followed by a solid chapter which essentially instructs the Seeker on how to maximise their use of the cards. Firstly, the different types of Light Keepers are defined and explained. This is followed by some excellent instruction on how to form a powerful relationship with your deck, including a prayer ritual, some details about free will, and the Law of Attraction and how it affects one's readings.

There is also some excellent instruction about approaching the deck and readings with integrity. The fundamentals of how to conduct an Oracle reading are laid out clearly, including raising one's vibration, shuffling the cards, the ins and outs of reading for yourself and others. Two layouts are included, as well as instruction for one and three card draws. Also of importance here is information about how to phrase a question, jumping cards and how to interpret a reversed card. As mentioned before there are no reversed meanings given for these cards, so the Seeker is guided to view them as being of particular importance.

Each Light Keeper has two pages of information. The same information which is found on each card – title of the Light Keeper, keywords and phrases – heads up each mini-chapter. This is followed by a paragraph about the featured Light Keeper – this gives something of their cultural background as well as their notable features, and essential qualities. The 'Extended Message’ is the divinatory meaning of the card which tells the Seeker where they currently stand in a spiritual as well as personal sense. The Seeker may be instructed and/or encouraged to pursue an activity or cultivate a personal quality. Largely these messages are about embracing higher attributes such as compassion, resilience, optimism, love, as well as advising the Seeker on periods of change and spiritual importance.

This is a gorgeous oracle deck whose purpose is to help the Seeker refine their spiritual path through developing intuition, and maximising the guidance of the Universe. The messages given by the cards are overwhelmingly positive and intended to help the Seeker expand their potential. If you are looking for a deck of wisdom and insight, as well as guidance and compassion then this deck is highly recommended.
