Round Decks

Decks with round rather than rectangular or squarish cards.

Circle of Life Tarot

The Circle of Life Tarot is a round deck, so chosen to emphasise the concepts of circularity and cycles in life. The 78 unique illustrations depart from the usual symbolism, and are unconventional and imaginative Tarot journey.

Daughters of the Moon Tarot

The Daughters of the Moon Tarot is a feminist deck that shows only women on its round cards. The art of the 75 cards (the court cards have only Maiden, Mother and Crone) is vibrant, uplifting and positive.

Daughters of the Moon Tarot (B&W)

This is the earlier black-and-white edition of the Daughters of the Moon Tarot. The 75 cards are round and approach Tarot from a feminist and feminine perspective.

Motherpeace Tarot

The Motherpeace Tarot is an unusual deck with definite feminist leanings, but unlike many feminist decks it does show a few males. This was the first of the round Tarot decks.

Oracle of the Dreamtime

The Oracle of the Dreamtime is not only an oracle but a collection of contemporary Australian Aboriginal art. It's a very well-researched deck and the artwork and symbology is based on authentic Aboriginal Dreamings.

Shining Angels Tarot

The Shining Angels Tarot is a round deck of 78 cards, with watercolour images of individual angels in tarot scenes. The round shape of the cards was chosen to remind us "of the angelic circle of love and protection always surrounding us".

Songs for the Journey Home Tarot

An unusual round Tarot deck published in New Zealand, the Songs for the Journey Home Tarot uses the standard 78 card Tarot structure, but has renamed the cards. Beautifully drawn and coloured artwork.

Star That Never Walks Around

The Star That Never Walks Around is a non-traditional but readable round Tarot deck of 78 cards, with imagery shaped by Native American myths and legends.

Tarot of the Cloisters

The Tarot of the Cloisters is unique, in that it is made to look like stained glass from medieval cathedrals. The cards are round with easily understood, beautifully coloured artwork. Unfortunately now out of print and not readily available.

Tarot of the Rishis

The Tarot of the Rishis is a solely Hindu tarot deck with round cards. A Hindu deity is associated witheach of the major arcana, though the minors are the normal suits of Cups, Swords, Pentacles and Wands. Still in-progress, this deck is unfortunately not yet available.

Tea Leaf Fortune Cards

The Tea Leaf Fortune Cards is a huge set of 200 cards that illustrate the images and meanings that might appear in an actual tea leaf reading. The cards are round - to resemble a tea cup - and each has a simple picture, a title and a short piece of advice.

Transparent Oracle

The Transparent Oracle expands on the concept of the ground-breaking Transparent Tarot from Emily Carding. The Oracle has 70 circular, clear cards, which allows the symbology inspired by the natural world and the universe to be read in layers and rotated as well.
