The Artist's Concept

The Three of Cups has always drawn me because I see ÔcommunityÕ and what better community than children playing. My first reaction is celebration of home, happiness, and togetherness.

My choice of locations is different than [the Rider] Waite -have always been drawn to the water, the beach.

The card I designed depicts three children at the beachÉplaying and working together. The water is your consciousness; the lighthouse is to guide you to your home (community). The sandcastle is what can be accomplished when you work as a community. The city skyline is the community in a larger perspective.
