Eight of Swords
by Folie Yolen

Card Meaning

Card Meaning

No description was provided for this card. The following generalization is an excerpt from the book 'It's All in Your Cards' by John Mangiapane.

'Eight' indicates a positive change of mind or status because the beneficial qualities of the number eight (2 times 4, the number of manifestation) are rarely diluted. Eight is the number of justice, judgement, material progress, and health.

This is a card about feeling trapped or being captured, physically or mentally. The Querent feels censure, has restricted action through their own indecision, or is at the mercies of someone or something out of the sphere of their control, or perhaps illness has robbed them of their strength to fight back. Can indicate someone in prison.

When reversed the bounds and the blindfold slip off and new beginnings are now possible. Indicates a relaxation after fear, and a freedom from restrictions. Can indicate that someone in prison will soon be released.
