Card Meaning

Card Meaning

No description was provided for this card. The following generalization is an excerpt from the book 'It's All in Your Cards' by John Mangiapane.

'Nines' indicate that situations or events are nearing completion, or have just been completed and another plateau waits.

This is a card about the pain of mental anguish. The card denotes misery, suffering, desolation, illness (of the Querent or someone they know), the receiving of bad news. It can also be anguish over another's cruelty, dishonesty, or even slander.

When reversed the swords are dispelled and the sleeper lies back down to rest -- good news about a loved one is received. Time will bring healing. Tomorrow is another day, and the light of day can dispel the ghosts of the night.
