The Artist's Concept
Depending on the deck I'm reading with at the time, I'd say the key words when I see this card are waiting or defending what you believe in. The card I have created calls to mind the pause before the big finish. The fire spirit rests at the foot of the Kundalini Tree after lighting the candles at the ends of the nine branches. This corresponds pretty well with the traditional meaning. The fire spirit carries the energy of the Wands. The Kundalini Tree represents the awakening of our chakras (energy centers). The candles at the ends of the nine branches represent the stage being set. The branches represent the actual wands. Once our chakras are opened and enlivened by the Kundalini energy which lies at the base of our spine, we are ready for anything.
Card Meaning
The meaning for my card is that the preparation has all been done. Everything is ready to go. This is the pause before the first guests arrive and the celebration begins. A feeling of contentedness fills our being.
Reversal-- Someone has criticized your preparations and you are left defending your work instead of feeling fulfilled. [Editor's note: New River does not read reversals.]
