The Artist's Concept
There are many different variations on Court cards, many with extremely varied meanings. I enjoyed the opportunity to put my own ideas into the King of Wands.
The King of Wands is a man of action! When he appears in a reading I think of him as an aspect of the Querent's personality that shows them as a leader of others, especially in terms of getting things done.
The King of Wands is a charismatic, intuitive leader that others are willing to follow because they respect and trust his lead. He does not need to use threats or bully tactics. He has a tattoo that contains the crown and lizard found in the Rider-Wait King of Wands. The background is a photo I took of a sculpture that commemorates the Australian Army. A brass flame seems to be supported by a fort in the photo.
Card Meaning
When the King of Wands appears in a reading he represents someone in your life or an aspect of yourself that is a charismatic leader. With his presence what needs to be done will get done and everyone will feel good about the results.
Card Media
Fine pen on paper and scanned; Kayne took the background photo. Created and coloured using PhotoShop.
