The Artist's Concept

Although I did not chose this card, I got an idea for it while Dragon [designer, Queen of Wands] was telling me about the Aeclectic collaborative deck being created and the rest is self-explanatory.

When I usually think of the Knight/Prince of Cups, I think of water. Water is, in my mind, associated with Cups. Snow also comes to mind as well. My reaction to the [Knight] card is that the Knight is strong and noble. Water is naturally beautiful, regardless of how it is used in the picture.

The card that I have created depicts a man on top of a horse that is rearing. In his left hand, he holds a cup that has a pentacle on it. I chose to put the pentacle on it to represent my own spirituality. Behind him there is a large cup that is pouring a river, which recedes into the background. I put this on there to show more [of the] water aspect usually seen in the suit of Cups. I also chose to have the ground covered in snow with an ice-capped mountain in the background showing another aspect of water, simply frozen. I have seen snow on other Cups cards as well and decided that it would be fitting. I believe that my card aligns with the traditional designs for this same card in other decks. The only difference was my choice to place the horse on the card because it helps to show the Knight's placing as a high ranking official.

Card Meaning

The meaning of my version of this card is that things have taken on an emotional or intuitive concept. Emotion or intuition will lead the way to your destination.

Reversed

The situation as it now stands has not yet reached this point of conception. The concept is not workable.
