Card Meaning

The Moon

No card description was provided. The following generalization is an excerpt from the book 'It's All in Your Cards' by John Mangiapane.

Older books described this card as one about change and deception; it is a card about cycles and describes people who are inclined to act on impulse and/or think intuitively.

The Moon can represent an area of unclear direction or a changeable future for the Querent- perhaps a time of frustration or anxiety. It may be a time of intuitive dreaming, and is considered the card of psychics, poets, artists, and performers. It is also a card about cycles - the beginning, end, or development of one, also possibly indicated by the phase of the (real) moon. Schedules, clocks, and calendars are important.

In reversal: If you understand the card to be negative when upright, then in reverse the Moon cancels out the negativity suggested, or a deceptive person will be revealed. It may suggest psychic powers are unfolding but underdeveloped.
