Descriptiong
It is harvest time.
In the garden seven beautiful flowers are in bloom. They have been lovingly tended and watered, they are almost at the peak of their loveliness. Just beyond the garden gate which stands ajar, the path forks.
Meaning & Symbolism
In the 7 of Pentacles we pause and take stock. We stop for a little while and evaluate what we've done. This pause gives us a chance to make changes so that we can move forward.
The sevens relate to the seventh card of the Major Arcana - The Chariot - and are about taking control of a situation. In the 7 of Pentacles we relinquish some of this control, accept that we have put the effort in and now is the time to step back and see what happens.
The flowers in the garden represent aspects of our lives or ourselves which we have invested energy in. We have tended them, loved them and watched them grow. Now we must decide whether to harvest them or leave them alone.
The flowers are the colours of the 7 main chakras so they signify inner growth as well as projects in the physical plane. The fork in the path shows that this is a card about decisions. We pause at the garden fence, assess our achievements and our failures and decide which route to take after going through the garden gate.
The spiral in the sun reminds us that everything in life is cyclical: Just as new flowers will grow in their place when these are gone so todays' failures may be tomorrows successes and vice-versa.
