Symbolism
I wanted to convey a sort of Christian Judgment Day effect, so I used souls rising from the dead, with an angel breaking a scroll in the background. (Actually, I don't know how the ancient scrolls look, so I just drew her with an opened palm, and a sort of inviting look). The five lights in the background stand for the four winged beings surrounding God's throne, and the brightest light standing for the new City of God descending from the heavens.
Card Meaning
While making the card, I consulted with Thirteen's Tarot Basics, provided in Aeclectic. Rebirth and renewal was the main force driving my creation of the card. Though I agree with the aspect of summoning the past, to let go or get to a decision, in my part, I would like the card to convey more, a sense of welcoming a spiritually fulfilling outcome. The past may come, but only point towards what ultimately lies ahead.
