A prehistoric man is on guard in the tribe’s cave entrance, ready to stop any kind of menace like animals or warriors from enemy tribes. He is aware the survival of the tribe rests in his shoulders, so his face shows an aggressive expression. His eyes alert for any problem, his body is tense and ready for the action, but are there real menaces or is he feeling paranoid? He doesn’t care, because in a world of survival of the fittest he’s decided to survive no matter what, and the rest of the tribe knows it.
The 9 wands are used in different ways: for lightning, as the structure for the cave’s “door” and also as a weapon in the hands of the man. The prehistoric man is a symbol of the limited part of our intellect at those moments when we close to any communication and take a defensive attitude.
When the 9 of Wands appears is time to analyze our attitudes towards others and the life itself.
Are we reading signs of danger in everybody’s actions and words, without any logical reason? Are we taking a defensive attitude that is isolating us from the rest of the world? Are we keeping hard feelings for someone who don’t deserve them any more? Where have taken you your battles from the past? Be strong and show resistance but learn to recognize the right moments to do that nobody can live on guard all the time…
