Easy Tarot Review by Bernard-Charles

Beginning to understand the world of tarot can be overwhelming, but luckily Llewellyn Publishing made this Easy Tarot deck available. It is the Gilded Tarot deck but with an easy to read handbook by Josephine Ellershaw. This was my first tarot deck ever and it works like a charm! The cards are easy to shuffle because of their medium size and the images are modern and vibrant in accordance to the images of the traditional tarot sets like the Rider Waite deck by Joan Bunning.

As you begin to play with this deck for either personal guidance or readings for others, you will notice that finding the meanings for the cards can be a little tricky. But in no time you will see that the book separates the Minor Arcana suit cards, Court cards, and the Major Arcana cards. This helps you as the newbie to flip to the appropriate section to find your card meaning. Another level of enjoyment for this deck, I have found that the descriptions of the images on the cards helps me understand the mood of the card and the tone for the reading. I can easily see in the faces of the Court cards just how the reading will feel. This helps me as an empath intuitive to asses the reading easily.

The name "Easy Tarot" might look and feel to you that you will be working with a "Tarot for Dummies set" but that isn't true. The cards are from the Gilded set which is very professional, yet the handbook just helps you as a beginner to better understand what each card means. The meanings are fairly short and prescribed tarot layouts are offered. This deck conveniently came with a Celtic Cross Layout mat which I use all the time and I get fancy and place a crystal on it to enhance the readings or to clear the air of any negativity.

I certainly recommend this modern deck to try first by getting familiar with the traditional names and meanings of cards. I am a strong believer in understanding the roots of a project or organization so why not do it with a modern twist. Nonetheless, Llewellyn Publishing is a credible source for all things magic and mystic and so this alone should encourage you to pursue this deck without any worry.
