Description
A young boy stands outside a candy store with his face and hands pressed against the window. He stares at the colorful array of candies in the store wistfully, not knowing which he will choose once he goes inside to buy. The candy canes in the front, center tray are a nod to the original idea I had for this card, “sugarplums dancing in their heads”.
Symbolism
The boy is outside the candy store, he is not yet buying the candy, he is still “daydreaming” about buying it. Perhaps there are so many choices that he can’t make up his mind. The candies are all different types and colors, representing the multitude of choices available to the young boy. This is not quite the “kid in a candy store” analogy, but it comes close to that.
Card Meaning
This card represents a variety of choices that are available to the seeker. It is almost an embarrassment of riches. The seeker could be planning ahead and deciding which course of action to take and which dream to follow, or they may be so overwhelmed by the available choices that they are stunned into inaction. This card may also signify the urge to give in to temptation.
