Symbolism
The tower symbolizes the aspirations of mankind or the individual, the lightning symbolizes the sudden, unexpected destruction of those aspirations, coming as it does from a clear blue sky.
Card Meaning
Not one of the happier cards. This card can be interpreted literally, as events in recent history show. Normally it means destruction of achievements or one’s aspirations, leading to despair.
Reversed, the Tower offers some small hope; that which is gone can be built again; perhaps less love of one’s creation or material possessions is indicated.

The Tower was executed (so to speak) in Microsoft Paint.
Artist's Bio
Le Corsair is in his early 40s, is a Navy veteran, and now works in the hotel industry. Not trained as an artist, this is his first public art project since grade school.
