Children Cards

Tarot cards and decks suitable for use by children or young adults.

Children Tarot

The Children Tarot has youthful and naive drawings in pastel that are for "participating in the fairy tale of life". The majors are cute and happy and the minors have pip-style arrangements with small illustrations included as well.

Connolly Tarot

The Connolly Tarot is a set of 78 rather beautiful vibrant and vivid cards. They have kinder, gentler tarot imagery with a Christian influence. The author has also toned down two 'scary' cards in the deck: Death is now Transition and the Devil is Materialism.

Disney Afternoon Tarot

The very talented Lar has combined Disney characters in the standard Tarot scenes to create a wonderful cartoon-like deck. Unfortunately the deck is not for publication.

Elemental Tarot for Kids

Elemental Tarot for Kids is a 71-card deck, from which the more negative traditional cards have been removed and the artwork simplified. It's designed as an introduction to divination for children aged nine and up.

Fairy-tale Tarot

The Fairy-tale Tarot for Children is a computer collage deck with loud, cheery, childish images based largely on Russian fairy tales. The 78 card deck is unpublished and still in progress.

Inner Child Cards

The Inner Child Cards are large cards with vibrant, attractive artwork in primary colours that looks a little like it was drawn with crayons. Journey into fairy tales, myths, and nature and back into childhood.

Les Adorables Tarot

Les Adorables has thin, long cards illustrated in a cute watercolour anime style. It's majors only but has 23 cards - the extra is the Happy Squirrel card, made famous by 'The Simpsons'.

Magical Unicorns Oracle

The Magical Unicorns Oracle is a positive set of 44 cards, for people of all ages. Its cards are based on the mythical unicorn and Pegasus legends and have pretty, detailed illustrations.

Manga Tarot

The Manga Tarot is from Taiwanese artist Selena Lin who specialises in shojo, a romantic style of comic especially for teenage girls. Her 78 cards are pretty and filled with cute, big-eyed characters. Packaged as a set in a hinged, rigid cardboard box with a 64-page book.

StoryWorld

The StoryWorld set has 40 storytelling cards designed to let the childish imagination run free. By Caitlin and John Matthews, who also created the Celtic Wisdom Tarot and Arthurian Tarot.

Tarocco Balocco

The Tarocco Balocco: Le Carte di Giacomo is literally a Tarot of Toys, and features old-fashioned playthings - porcelain dolls, tin sand-pit buckets, wind-up toys and more, associated with the major arcana archetypes.

Tarot Nova

The Tarot Nova is a deck of 78 cards with vaguely Renaissance artwork of simplified Rider-Waite imagery centred on a black background. It's a cute gift shop tarot, and the cards are appropriate for children. There are two versions - one with tiny foldout cards, one with more regular sized cards.

Ursidae Tarot

The Ursidae Tarot is a hand made set of 78 cards featuring appropriately dressed and situated teddy bears depicting each tarot scene. The bears also have a Qabbalistic and astrological association on each card.

Whimsical Tarot

While based on fairy tales and nursery rhymes, the Whimsical Tarot is not just for children. Created by Dorothy Morrison and illustrated by Mary Hanson-Roberts, this is a friendly, cute, but not sickly sweet tarot deck.

Wise Gal Tarot

The Wise Gal Tarot is a book with perforated sheets at the back that become the Tarot cards, designed for pre-teens and teenagers. The 78 illustrations are of flat colour and very simplified. The majors are a little abstract, while the minor arcana are unvarying pip cards with keywords.

Wonderland Tarot

All the characters from Alice in Wonderland in this Rider-Waite reworking. The Wonderland Tarot has suits of Oysters, Flamingos, Hats and Peppermills, and also includes Tweedledee and Tweedledum as the Lovers.
